Clinical supervision for supervised private practice
Are you a licensed associate therapist who wants to open your own private practice and need a clinical supervisor so that you can apply with the board to start a supervised private practice? Brittany Coppelli, LPC is a registered clinical supervisor who is approved to supervise private practices by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners! Building your own private practice while your an associate therapist is an incredible step- but it can feel overwhelming to balance client work, business growth, career development AND still gain your required hours for clinical supervision. The board requires that any associate therapist that owns a private practice MUST have an approved clinical supervisor to provide supervision for that practice. c
You’ll receive guidance that goes beyond just case consultation- supporting you in both the clinical and entrepreneurial sides of your work. We’ll focus on building clinical confidence, honing specific skills for therapy modalities you love (like EMDR, IFS, working with complex trauma, & so much more), strengthening your identity and niche as a therapist, maintaining ethical standards, and developing the business skills to help your practice THRIVE!
This depends on how many clients you’re seeing each week- the board requires that you meet for at least one hour of clinical supervision per 20 client hours. Therapists with very busy, full caseloads often meet for one hour per week. Therapists who have smaller caseloads may meet less often.
It is required at minimum to meet every 60 days on site at your practice. All other meetings can take place online.

Owning a supervised private practice is a huge investment in your future career! You are getting the ball rolling early by starting your practice before you’re fully licensed. Not only that- you’ll be getting invaluable support and feedback from an experienced clinical supervisor and business owner. The financial investment is: $150 per hour. For On site visits- there is a travel cost of $25 for any practices within a 10 mile radius of either Old Town Scottsdale (zip 85251) or Flagstaff (zip 86005). For practices outside of that scope, there is an additional travel fee.
Only in Arizona- for both in office or telehealth practices. We offer services for practices located in both Scottsdale and Flagstaff at this time.
Only while you are still a licensed associate therapist. Once you have fully obtained your LPC, you will no longer be required to have clinical supervision of your practice.
