Family Therapy

Family therapy isn’t only for families in crisis — it’s for any family that wants to communicate better, understand what’s really going on for each other, and build a home where everyone, especially your kids, feels safe being honest.

About Family Therapy

How do we stop having the same argument over and over? How do we help our kids feel heard without everyone walking on eggshells? How do we handle co-parenting, a blended family, or a big life transition without it pulling everyone apart? How do we support each other through grief, illness, or change — as a family, not just as individuals?

These are all questions a family therapist can help you work through together.

Several of our therapists work with families — including parents, children, and teens — both in office and via telehealth, so your family can get support in the way that works best for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Family sessions can include parents or caregivers alongside children and teens, depending on what your family needs. Let us know the ages of everyone who’ll be involved when you reach out, and we’ll match you with a therapist experienced with your family’s dynamic.

Not necessarily. Some sessions include the whole family, and others may involve just a parent and child, or the parents alone, depending on the goals for that phase of therapy. Your therapist will work with you to figure out what structure makes the most sense.

This is a great question to bring up directly with your therapist in your first session. Because family therapy involves multiple people, confidentiality works a little differently than in individual therapy — your therapist will walk you through exactly how it works before you begin.

Most insurance plans do not cover family therapy, only individual therapy. We can provide you with a superbill if you would like to submit for reimbursement for out of network. Family therapy sessions are $150 per 60 minutes, and $225 per 90 minute session.

Yes — we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth to clients located in Arizona and Minnesota. We don’t use AI video recording.
